How to Make Your Laptop in to Wi-Fi Hot Spot in windows 8/7/XP



They are many ways to turn your Laptop or PC with WI-Fi LAN card into Hot Spot in order to share the internet with other devices. In this method your PC/ Laptop turns into a Hot Spot and allow other Wi-Fi enabled devices to access Internet.


As i mention you above they are several methods in turning your Laptop/ PC into Hot Spot some with external software or using the command Prompt. Here in these article we are going to explain enabling Hot Spot in Windows (8,7 & xp) with respective of command prompt.


1. Open Command Prompt window by Pressing Windows + R key in your Keyboard  and type ncpa.cpl and Hit Enter.

2. A pop window is open in that Select the Wireless network adapter from the Network and sharing center. Then  Right Click and Select Properties.


3. Switch the tab to Sharing tab and click on the Check box right for allowing the connection and uncheck box the other one which disables it.
 


4. Open  Command Prompt (Admin)  using the right click on the bottom of the page and select it
5. From here the Commands Section begins:- use netsh command as mention below.
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=” MonsterHub” key=” MonsterHub”
After the command entered it shows a message regarding SSID and user key passphrase of the hosted network has been changed.

6. Start the network by entering the following command.
netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Check How many Devices connected to your Hot Spot
Just simply run below command 

netsh wlan show hostednetwork
You can check in the Screen the number of devices connected to your Hot Spot.
